What are the benefits?
  • The THRASHER/C-YA RACING Limited Slip Differential (LSD) is installed in some of the fastest L67 powered cars in the country. It' heats up both of their drag slicks evenly, providing approximately 60-foot times less than 1.7 seconds at the track!
  • Keeping the enormous amount of torque balanced throughout lengthy burnouts greatly reduces stress on the internal differential components. Without both wheels working in sync to each other, damage or failure is dramatically increased.
  • Our differential increases traction in wet weather conditions by evenly distributing power to the front wheels. In turn, this reduces the degree of spinning/sliding in the rain and snow.

Remember, if both wheels turn at equal speeds in the same direction, the pinion gears do not spin at all! If the pinion gears don't spin, naturally, broken roll pins and free floating pinion shafts are not going to happen.

As early as 1998, THRASHER and C-YA RACING collaborated their research having had prior experience in working with a major limited slip differential company (who currently manufactures and supplies limited slip differentials of the same design to GM for their current hi-performance vehicles) and were not successful in keeping the unit together.

Our extensive efforts have produced on of the most popular, yet cost-effective units out in the market today.

The Do-It-Yourself kit includes these components:

Hardened and Coated Pinion Shaft

Side Gears

Clutch Plates

Pinion Gears

Thrust Washers

Pinion Shaft Retaining Pin

Drill Bit

A Punch that is used to remove the old Pinion Shaft Retaining Pin.


Typical installation time is estimated to be around 2-3 hours.
