Marketing/Special Projects "So-Lo"
This 1999 GP owned by PONTIAC, was a SEMA 2000
Show Car. The concept for the proposed chopped
& lowered
GP was envisioned by Les Jarvis with Steve
Stanford penning
the original conceptual drawing. This GP had the appearance
of the popular, southern california low-rider look using
a late
model vehicle. PONTIAC commissioned the following persons
and companies to bring this project car to fruition.
Fernando
Rodiegus was commissioned to modify
this GP by
cutting and lowering the top, thus creating a "chopped
top".
The suspension was lowered 2.5" using Progress
Group springs.
This GP had a billet grill and trunk extension provided
by Trends. Pete Santini
applied the "House of Kolors" Sunset
Pearl Orange. The Lear seats
were re-upholstered by Stitchcraft. Budnick "gasser"
series wheels were selected to finish out this look.
And under the hood;
THRASHER Engineered Performance was commissioned
for the development and the build up of the powertrain.
