I’m Al. In the mid-80’s
as a teenager, I began customizing vehicles, mostly on my own
cars just to keep them different from the next guy. Soon after,
I realized that a lot of people felt exactly the same way that
I did about their ride. People began asking me where I had the
work done to my car and when I responded with “I did it”
usually the next sentence out of their mouth was “Can
you do that to mine?” Being young and broke, the
attraction of people actually paying me to do the same things
to their cars that I had had so much fun doing to mine, just
seemed too irresistible to pass up. With an intuitive sense
for mechanical engineering and graphic design, I then progressed
into more serious and complicated automotive surgeries just
for the sake of developing that “cool ride”.
OK, you'd probably like to get
an idea of what I can offer you. Well, let me give you a glimpse
of my world. Hey, it could be yours too.
Working
at a variety of different shops catering to the
street rod, sport truck, low rider and sport-compact/tuner scenes,
I soon realized that the next logical step would be to open my
own business. In 1996, Autotrix Customs was established. Before
we knew it, the past 8 years turned my passion into my career.
We have the capability of performing a number of alterations to
any given vehicle. AUTOTRIX can take your ride from just simply
tinting the windows or adding a set of ground effects to fully
transforming a customer’s ride into a “jaw dropping”
show – stopper! With an array of different methods such
as AirRide, full custom interiors, hydraulics, way out audio/visual
systems, and tons more, the possibilities are virtually unlimited.
The real problem I encountered
was simply running out of space! If we wanted to keep growing,
we would have to move to a larger facility. That’s where
THRASHER comes in. The combination of Autotrix’s suspension,
exterior, and interior expertise with Thrasher’s powertrain
and high performance knowledge and success allows us to provide
unparalleled service and options to anyone who wishes to customize
their ride to the max. Together we plan to run the full gamut
from under the hood to the exterior; inside and out. Fasten
